Do battery packs with emergency lights have to be fed from dedicated circuits even if they are providing lighting above what the building code would require? Thanks in advance.

If your were to install one in your home would you fish in a seperate run to your panel?
Emergency lighting cicuits do not have to be on a dedicated circuit, even if required by the building code. Exit signs required by building code are required to be on dedicated circuits.
Emergency lighting can be connected to the exit sign circuit. Emergency lighting required by the building code shall be installed in such a manner that it will be automatically actuated upon failure of the power supply to the normal lighting in the area covered by that unit equipment.
